Anthony Joshua yesterday on the 7 of December 2019 defeated world heavy weight champion Andy Ruiz to regain his world heavy weight titles in a rematch at Diriyah, a custom built 15,000 seater stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The rematch was initially intercepted by a heavy rainfall and there were fears that the fight could be cancelled due to the wind and threat of lightning. But the officials took the decision and the fight stood.
Anthony Joshua who had previously lost his heavy weight titles to Andy Ruiz 6 month ago in New York City finally got a rematch to regain back his titles and knew that it was his last chance to reclaim it. In the rematch yesterday, Anthony Joshua took his chances very well and dominated most of the rounds. Having been beaten in the first fight in Madison square garden in New York City by Andy Ruiz, Joshua came into the rematch reactivated and Andy Ruiz was kept at bay in the rematch by an improve Anthony Joshua.
After 12 rounds, Anthony Joshua was announced the winner, prevailing by way of unanimous decision with scores of 118-110, 118-110 and 119-109, reclaiming all the titles he had lost six months ago.
