Liverpool beat Atalanta 5-0 in their Champions League Group D game in Bergamo yesterday.

Diogo Jota scored twice in the first half in Bergamo before Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane added goals early in the second period. Jota completed his hat trick 54 minutes into the game.

Colombian Duvan Zapata and Luis Muriel led the Atalanta attack. But Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta lacked form with defender Hans Hateboer.

Jota became the second player to score on his two starts in the Champions League for Liverpool since Robbie Keane in 2008.
