Defending Champions, Bayern Munich openend their Champions league title defense campaign with an impressive 4-0 win over La liga giant Atlético Madrid in their first champions league group game, and will now travel to the Russian Capital to take on Lokomotiv Moscow in their next champions league group game.
Bayern Munich were drawn in Group A, alongside Atlético Madrid, Lokomotiv Moscow and Red Bull Salzburg. And speaking on Monday ahead of their next champions league group game with Lokomotiv Moscow, Bayern Munich forward Thomas Mueller said that the Champions League holders are “happy to be playing in our competition again”. Mueller said in a pre-match press conference: “We’re happy to be playing in our competition again,” Mueller told a pre-match press conference:

“We want to continue the flow we currently find ourselves in.

“We’re confident, the team is in form, the omens are positive.”

“Bayern are always among the favourites, we are always in the mix in spring,”

“At the moment, we feel very, very strong, but that won’t help us in March and April when it comes to the knockout stage. However, I have faith in the club and the team,” Mueller said.

Bayern, who have won their last six matches in all competitions, have reached the Champions League knockout stage in each of the last 12 seasons
