The Chief Executive Officer of Novone Consult Ltd., Arch. Ezekiel Nya-Etok, has unveiled the first phase of the Social Housing Residential Estate in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Capital.

The three-bedroom housing estate with over 40 units is located in Ikot Ntuen Community, opposite the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Uyo and is a private, public partnership initiative between the federal government, Akwa Ibom State government and Nya-Etok.

Briefing newsmen on the project over the weekend, Nya-Etok said that the estate which would be gated, has a 25KVA generating set to power the street lights, two transformers, water reticulation system, water treatment plant, 4 fire hydrants, asphalted and paved road network and other facilities that stand out the estate among others.

He revealed that the estate which will be formally inaugurated in the next three months is affordable for low, middle and high income earners in the society.

He noted that his focus is to ensure that civil servants in Akwa Ibom between Grade Level 01 to 10, and other members of the public become residents of the estate, saying a unit of the houses goes at N8.5 Million for civil servants, while other members of the public will get the house at N12.5 Million.

The Social Housing Advocate further hinted that interested persons would have to make a 2.59 deposit payment for the cost of the house and would have to complete payment within a period of time that will be agreed by the developer to become house owners in the estate.

Nya-Etok described the location of the estate as strategic, as it links to University of Uya Teaching Hospital, the Federal and State Secreta fiats and the Gods Akvapio International Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Senior Pastor of Full Life Christian Centre, Rev. Ntia Ntia who was also conducted round the estate, applauded Arch. Nya-Etok for the initiative and prayed God to grant him the grace to see the project through.
