Arsenal have now gone 11 games without a win following a disappointing 2-2 draw with relegation threatening Southampton during their premier league encounter at the Emirate stadium on Saturday.
The draw now means that arsenal have not won a premier league game in two months.
Lacazzete brace were not enough to seal all 3 points as it could only rescue a point for the Gunners. Danny Ings had given Southampton the lead 10 minutes into the first-half when he received a ball from a free kick before slotting it pass the helpless arsenal goal keeper. Arsenal players could have done well to defend Danny Ings opener if they were not too busy complaining to the refree about his decision to award a free kick that resulted in the opening goal.
Lacazette scored 10 minutes after to equalised and Level things up for arsenal. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton had more shot on target in the game than arsenal and they will be disappointed not to go home with three points.
Arsenal midfield of Matteo Guendouzi and Torreirri were poor and frustrating in the game but was more worse on how they gave in to the transition of the attack.
Southampton were very disappointed not to go home with all three points having taken the lead twice. They were awarded a penalty 24 minutes after the half-time when Kieran Tierrey pulled Danny Ings down in the box , which saw James Ward-prowse scored on the rebound after his penalty had been safe by Bern Lerno to put them 2-1 ahead of arsenal.
Southampton had chances of putting the game to sleep , but instead they ended up squandering those chances and in the six minutes into stoppage time Lacazette made them pay for those missed chances. Arsenal only managed 5 shot on target with a team who have been arguably the worst team in the league this season having conceded 9 goals against Leicester city. The draw now means that arsenal drop to seventh place in the table while Southampton are languishing in 19 in the table.
Because of arsenal struggle this season, Aubameyang , their club top scorer this season is considering an exit from the Emirate.
The crises on whether to sack Unai Emery continue to worsen as Arsenal head of football Sanllehi and technical director Edu were seen leaving the home dressing room after the match. Things are not looking good for the Gunners at the moment and if it continues Emery might be sacked.
Arsenal will travel to Carrow Road next week for their next premier league action with Norwich City.
